In terms of planning my electronic music production remix, I have decided to remix the song 'Only Music Here' by 'Nectar'.

The style of music could be considered alternative or indie. The band has a high emphasis on melody and I have decided to use this by taking samples a vocal and guitar track to remix this song. The track has a lot of time changes giving it sporadic sections while creating a very fluent feel. I chose to use the future bass and ambient styles of electronic music as it seems to fit well with the original. The artist Flume is one that has influenced me in this remix and by taking stylistic references from his tracks I think that it will work great to create a new space for this song to live in. Flume uses textures and ambience to illustrate an environment for each song he creates and this is what I hope to achieve with this remix. Communication between one of the producers is highly accessible and feedback and an exchange of ideas will be possible in order to create a satisfactory product. I will be constantly giving progress tracks and updates to make sure that we will both be happy with how the track will turn out.
This is pretty basic as a plan. Can we hear the original? Flume's production style is pretty challenging. There is a lot more to his music than just texture and ambience. How are you going to achieve this?
