Now moving into the studio intensive. Knowing the brief and deliverables, I’m confident in the group to produce a track that is of high quality and being able to receive the same acknowledgement from our peers and others.
Having previously had much experience in writing and recording music, I know that planning and preproduction of a song is very important and ultimately has a major effect on the final product. Putting emphasis on this in the first week will help reduce roadblocks and barriers in tracking and mixing.
For me, Tom Searle of Architects and Garrett Russell of Silent Planet are some notable and respected songwriters in the genre of modern metal, the quality of work is some of the best in the field and is very noticeable after listening through their catalogues. Tom Searle being a melodic and meticulous songwriter has produced tracks that illustrate incredible technique and finesse. And Garrett Russell having a ridiculous knowledge and understanding of lyricism and poetry implements this into complex storytelling and engaging structure.
